Creating skilled human resources in technology education should be the main goal of every university: Palak
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak said the main goal of every university should be to create skilled human resources in technology education. He mentioned that 40 mobile apps and game testing labs are being set up at the university level in the country, adding that the main objective is to prepare skilled manpower in technology.
The state minister was speaking as the chief guest at a function organized on the occasion of inauguration of "Mobile Apps and Game Testing Lab" at Computer Science and Engineering Department at Barisal University this evening.
The university treasurer Dr. Md. Badiuzzaman Bhuiyan, Chairman of Computer Science and Engineering Department Rahat Hossain Faisal and Central President of Bangladesh Chhatra League Al Nahyan Khan Joy spoke on the occasion while the University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Chadekul Arefin presided over the function held at the auditorium of the CEC department of the university.
Referring to the current global market size of mobile games and applications at $ 175 billion, the Minister of State said that in order to lead this market, we need to make talented young people skilled as mobile game application developers. The Department of Information and Communication Technology will provide overall assistance in this regard.
Earlier, the state minister was the chief guest at an exchange meeting on "Information and Communication Technology" with teachers and students of schools in Barisal district.
